Terms of Service

Lantern is a product of Enlighten Studios in Waukesha, Wisconsin. These terms cover the hosted field-map software and the plant-import mapping work we bill separately.

Who we are

Enlighten Studios operates Lantern from Waukesha, Wisconsin. The operator seat is Mike Cobus. Write lantern@enlightenstudios.us for the service. This is a small studio selling a shop tool, not a marketplace and not a carrier.

The two things you can buy

Software seats. Lantern is a hosted field map for structured cabling: jacks, closets, switch ports, work orders, Fluke PDFs on the job, and invoices that match a PO. Published Cable Pro is $99/month for the office seat (one company admin, one building) and $35/month per named field seat. Extra building $30/month. Other packages (MSP, Advanced, Billing) are listed on the pricing page.

Plant import. Mapping a live building is a billed services job: site walk or as-built review, cable IDs, CSV loaded into that company’s tenant. Typical office is $3,500 (band $1,500$8,000). Harborline Logistics in the live demo is a fictional training plant. It is not a customer and it is not your building.

Accounts and seats

A company admin requests or is invited to a tenant. Enlighten approves the company before seats are live. The company admin invites techs. You are responsible for who you invite and for the plant, jobs, and invoices you file. Demo cards on the sign-in page walk the fictional Harborline plant only.

Payment, freeze, and no cut of your AR

Seats and imports are billed by Enlighten to the shop. Pay the way you already pay us — check or QuickBooks. We do not require a card on file. If a seat ages out, we freeze the tenant: plant stays on disk, logins stop until it is current.

The shop bills its own customer from the work order. That invoice is yours. Enlighten does not take a cut, does not process your customer cards, and does not sit in the middle of that AR.

Your data, our tool

Plant records, photos, Fluke PDFs, and invoices you put in Lantern are your tenant data. We host them so the closet map works. We do not sell that plant to another shop. We may use aggregated, de-identified product telemetry to keep the tool up. You will not upload data you do not have the right to store.

Acceptable use

Do not probe, scrape, or break into the service. Do not use Lantern to store anyone’s payment cards. Do not present the Harborline sample as a real customer site. We can suspend a seat that puts the service or another tenant at risk.

Warranty and liability

Lantern is provided as a working shop tool from a small studio. We do not warrant that the map is a substitute for a licensed design, a Fluke cert, or your own field check. To the extent Wisconsin law allows, Enlighten’s liability for a claim about the software or an import is limited to the fees you paid us for that service in the prior three months.

Wisconsin law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict rules. Venue is the state or federal courts sitting in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

Changes and contact

We can update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top is the current version. Questions: lantern@enlightenstudios.us.
